Abstract

The curricular update in the discipline Theory and Methodology of Sports Training (TMED) at the Escola Superior Pedagógica do Bié has become a necessity to align the training of students with contemporary demands. In this context, the validation of evaluation instruments becomes crucial to ensure that the skills and capabilities developed by students are measured in a precise and consistent manner. Therefore, I proposed a questionnaire whose validity and reliability were evaluated to prove its suitability. The objective of this study was to analyze the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, ensuring its effectiveness in measuring TMED competencies. The investigation adopted a descriptive quantitative approach, applying the questionnaire to 20 third-year students. Internal consistency was verified using Cronbach's Alpha, showing high values, which indicates significant cohesion between items. Furthermore, the variance analysis (ANOVA) and the Friedman test identified relevant variations between items, revealing the instrument's ability to capture different dimensions. However, some limitations were observed, such as the need to review items with weak correlations to guarantee coherence and eliminate possible redundancies. Despite these limitations, the results obtained point to the adequacy of the questionnaire, providing a robust tool to support the evaluation process and curricular improvement in the TMED discipline. The study concludes that the validated questionnaire is effective in measuring multiple skills, contributing significantly to the formation of future professionals and the development of a curriculum that responds to contemporary educational and social demands.
